Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what the One of One app ("the App") collects, how it is used and shared, and your choices.
1. What we collect
- Account identity — the App creates an anonymous owner identifier so your pet can be tied to you. If you use Sign in with Apple for recovery, we receive the limited account information Apple returns, which may include a private relay email address.
- Your pet's life data — goals, check-ins, milestones, reflections, stats, Bond, care history, optional motion directions, and generated pet images or videos.
- Self-reported progress — the words you submit to create an evolution. This is stored privately with your pet.
- Purchase history and entitlement status — subscription and Sparks purchase status supplied by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Product interaction and diagnostic events — events about screens, outcomes, retries, recovery, abandonment, and technical failures, associated with your app owner identifier. Raw goals, progress text, pet names, media URLs, and motion directions are not sent to product analytics.
- Advertising attribution — aggregate SKAdNetwork results and Apple Search Ads campaign and keyword information. Apple Search Ads data may be joined to your app owner identifier for analytics.
- Optional advertising measurement — only if you allow tracking through Apple's permission prompt, the Meta SDK may access an advertising identifier and receive registration, trial-start, and purchase events, including purchase amount and currency, to measure advertising across apps and websites. If you deny permission, this tracking path stays off and does not block the App.
When you use the system share sheet, the App may make a temporary local copy of pet art on your device. The App does not collect the destination you choose in the share sheet.
2. How we use it
- To create, check, and evolve one persistent pet from the progress you choose to share.
- To save your pet, goals, Life Book, and private generated media across sessions and recovered devices.
- To operate subscriptions and Sparks, restore purchases, prevent duplicate spending, refund failed generation, and limit abuse.
- To diagnose failures and improve onboarding, generation, purchase, and recovery flows.
- To measure campaign performance, including optional cross-app advertising measurement only when you grant Apple's tracking permission.
3. Third-party AI processing and your permission
Before a user-started AI action, the App explains what will be shared and asks you to explicitly agree. If you decline, the AI action does not start and the data is not sent for that request.
When you agree, One of One sends only the data needed to create, check, and return the result:
- Anthropic may process the words you provide and needed pet imagery to interpret progress and check result quality.
- Atlas Cloud may process needed pet imagery and derived generation instructions to create a pet evolution.
- Fal.ai may process needed pet media and an optional motion direction to create a Motion Memory.
One of One does not send this AI-request data to these providers for advertising or cross-app tracking. Their processing is limited to providing the requested service under our service-provider arrangements.
4. Other service providers
Supabase provides authentication, database, server functions, and private storage. RevenueCat manages subscription entitlements and the authoritative Sparks balance. PostHog receives the product and attribution events described above. Apple processes App Store purchases and provides attribution. If you grant tracking permission, Meta receives the limited advertising-measurement data described above. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Storage, retention, and security
Your account, pet data, and accepted Life Book media are stored privately and associated with your account, not posted publicly. We keep them while your account is active so your pet remains a continuous biography. Operational purchase records and analytics may be retained as needed for security, billing reconciliation, abuse prevention, and product measurement.
6. Your choices
- You can decline any AI-processing request by not tapping the clearly labeled Agree action.
- You can deny Apple's tracking permission without losing access to the App.
- You can leave optional reflection and motion-direction fields blank.
- You can restore purchases and manage subscriptions from Settings.
- You can delete your account and associated pet data from Settings.
7. Account and data deletion
In-app account deletion removes your account identity, owner-scoped pet records, and private pet media from active systems. Limited records may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or billing purposes. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed separately through Apple.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version, and material changes will be surfaced where appropriate.
